Letters to my Daughters | My Sweet Emma

My Sweet Emma,

You amaze me everyday at the things you can do at your tiny age. It’s hard to believe you are not quite 3 months old yet. I can’t imagine my life without you.

Your smile is infectious. One of my favorites things to do is to hold you tight in my arms. I think you like the sound of my heartbeat because it doesn’t take too long for you to fall asleep when we’re wrapped up together.

I love the way your eyes light up when I show you new things or sing you new songs. You are an adventurer. You much prefer to sit or stand. If you had your way you would be walked around at all times.

You’ve shown me that you are brave…not crying when your sister decides to take away your toys. You’ve shown me you are strong…that cold a few weeks after you were born didn’t stand a chance. You didn’t complain a bit even though I knew you felt terrible. You’ve shown me your humorous side…smiling when mommy sneezes. And you’ve shown me how much you love…your tiny hand around my finger makes my heart melt.

I love you. You are my sunshine.

Forever yours,

P.S.- Today is mommy’s last day of maternity leave. Here are some photos with her favorite tiny almost 3 month old.
